I attended the 2023 HALT Summit. Are the professional learning hours accredited by NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)?

Unfortunately, the HALT Summit is not accredited. While you are unable to register the HALT Summit as ‘NESA Accredited PD’ in eTams, you can include it as ‘Elective PD.’ Find out more about NESA’s Elective PD guidelines here.

The HALT Summit is sold out. Is it possible to be added to a waitlist?

Yes – you can add your name to the waitlist via the registration platform once the HALT Summit is sold out. The Summit team will then notify you as soon as a spot becomes available.

If a spot does not become available, your registration status will automatically be transferred to ‘virtual delegate’ so that you can attend the event online.

Can I bring my school leader and/or an aspiring HALT to the Summit?

We recognise the key role of school and educational leaders in the success of teacher certification. HALTs attending the Summit can invite their school or educational leader to join them as virtual delegates. Aspiring HALTs are also invited to attend as virtual delegates.

What is the Sharespace? Can I present?

The Sharespace provides an opportunity for HALTs to present to small groups of colleagues and listen in on the great work of others. Presentations will be 20 minutes long – all occurring concurrently. Each presenter will deliver their presentation up to 3 times to 3 different groups and will also have the chance to watch presentations by other HALTs.

You can express interest in presenting a Sharespace session via a link on the registration page. The Summit team will then be in touch to confirm the details of your presentation.

Will the HALT Summit be live-streamed? Is it possible to attend the conference remotely?

Yes – virtual delegates will be able to live-stream the 2-day event.

Is there a cost to attend the HALT Summit?

The HALT Summit is an exclusive free event for certified Highly Accomplished and Lead teachers. While there is no fee to attend Summit 2024 for certified teachers and invited guests, all travel and accommodation costs are the responsibility of individual attendees.

I’ve registered for the HALT Summit but can no longer attend, what should I do?

If you can no longer attend, please email us at [email protected] to change your registration status.
