  1. AITSL is committed to protecting your privacy as an online visitor to our website. AITSL is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (Privacy Laws) and the collection and retention of your Data is in accordance with AITSL Privacy Policy at AITSL Privacy Policy
  2. You acknowledge and agree that AITSL stores information including Personal Information provided by you in accessing and using the MyInduction Webapp on a secured database. You can ask for a copy of this information at any time at [email protected]
  3. AITSL will always be transparent about the information AITSL collects about you, how it is held and used and with whom it is shared. You control your personal information and the permissions to share it. AITSL use the information AITSL collects about you to maximise the services that we provide to you.
  4. Information AITSL collects about you:
    1. In order to use MyInduction (the platform), you will need to provide the following mandatory information to complete your profile:

      (i) first name, last name, role, sector, state, country, organisation, age range, geographic location, gender, years of teaching, employment status, initial login date, last activity date.

    2. You may wish to provide the following information, although it is not mandatory to do so, to boost your profile:

      (i) years of teaching experience.

    3. Other information you provide while using the MyInduction Webapp includes but is not limited to:

      (i) Feedback (may be provided anonymously), change your content or email preferences, respond to a survey, or communicate with AITSL via email.

  5. How AITSL use your information:
    1. AITSL will de-identify usage and user profile information collected in MyInduction to produce reports including statistics about MyInduction for AITSL, the Australian Government and other bodies as required. Individuals are anonymous in any reports produced. These reports may be published on AITSL’s website.
    2. The de-identified data can be analysed to produce statistics, identify user demands, to develop and improve the platform, or to assist it in meeting user needs and experience generally. In addition, we may use the information that you provide to improve our website and services but not for any other use.
    3. By joining MyInduction, you agree to allow AITSL to contact you to invite you to participate in a range of activities, including but not limited to:

      (i) support programs and publications in furthering excellence in teaching and school leadership;

      (ii) contribute to AITSL publications, e.g. AITSL Mail;

      (iii) participate in research or media opportunities related to MyInduction

      (iv) participate in stakeholder consultations;

      (v) provide feedback on MyInduction.

    4. AITSL may also use personal information collected from you for the purpose of providing you with updates regarding MyInduction and information in the form of a newsletter.
  6. If you wish to opt-out of receiving any such information or communication, other than that necessary for the operation of MyInduction, email [email protected].
  7. Who can view your profile information:
    1. Your profile is not visible to any other user.
    2. All users remain bound by the confidentiality and privacy requirements as set out in the AITSL Privacy Policy.
  8. You acknowledge and agree that AITSL stores information including Personal Information provided by you to access and use the MyInduction Webapp on a secured database. You can ask for a copy of your information held by AITSL at any time at [email protected]
  9. You can edit your account profile at any time within the MyInduction Webapp. You can delete any optional information you have provided but all mandatory profile information cannot be deleted. If you do not wish to have your profile active any longer you can email [email protected] to have it closed.
  10. If you use the MyInduction Webapp, you remain responsible at all times for maintaining the confidentiality of your profile information (your profile or password) and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities under your control that occur on the MyInduction Webapp.
