Find how the accredited programs list works, and who you should contact for more information.

Initial teacher education programs are accredited by the teacher regulatory authority in each state/territory. Please contact them with any program-related enquiries, as AITSL does not accredit programs. This list is a record of accredited programs. AITSL maintains this list based on information given to us by these regulatory authorities. Only those programs with current or pending accreditation are included in the list.

All listed programs fulfil the teacher education qualification requirement for registration (accreditation in NSW) as a school teacher Australia wide. However, you should check with each teacher regulatory authority to confirm the other registration requirements in each jurisdiction.

If you enrol in a listed program before the approval expiry date shown then it is considered as fulfilling the teacher education qualification for the purposes of registration, even if you complete the program after its accreditation expires.
