In collaboration with Microsoft, this module has been developed for teachers interested in implementing generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) with their students. It is designed for Australian teachers of students aged 13 and above, (Years 7–10). It is suggested that teachers complete the AI Readiness module before starting this module.
Building on the foundations laid in the AI Readiness module (designed for teacher learning), this module flips the focus. Here, teachers will now guide their students through similar activities, adapted for the classroom. With teacher understanding established, the emphasis is now on practical, age-appropriate classroom implementation.
This module takes between 60 and 90 minutes to complete (not including classroom delivery). Work through at your own pace and return anytime.
Note, this module includes examples from multiple learning areas. Teachers aren’t expected to complete every activity with their students. Ideally, schools decide how best to deliver the core lessons with their student cohort.
