The Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (Teacher Standards) and the Australian Professional Standard for Principals (Principal Standard) sit alongside the work you’re doing every day. They are frameworks to guide practice and improve learning for children and young people across schools and early childhood settings.
We’ve been asked by Education Ministers to review both the Teacher Standards and the Principal Standard. This is a timely opportunity to consider how they continue to support and reflect your work.
This review places you at the centre, with 2 opportunities for input this year. We’ll explore how the Standards remain relevant, evidence-informed, and aligned with a contemporary understanding of effective practice.
