Evidence, collaboration and consultation are at the heart of our work to support quality teaching and school leadership. This is why we hold a survey every 2 years to hear from our stakeholders.

Effectiveness of AITSL

Pre-service teachers, school leaders and other influencers felt most satisfied with AITSL’s promotion of excellence in the profession.

Awareness of AITSL’s policies and standards was strong amongst stakeholders. 97% of stakeholders were aware of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.

AITSL’s tools and resources were rated highly by stakeholders.

The Australian Professional Standard for Principals and the Leadership profiles (7.4) and Leading for Impact (7.2) highest in terms of their benefit to education in Australia.

Teacher-specific

Tools and resources had an average usefulness rating of 7.3

The teacher-specific tools/resources that teachers rated as the most useful were the Feedback resources and the Classroom Practice Continuum (both 7.6/10).

School leader-specific

Tools and resources had an average usefulness rating of 7.2

The school leader-specific tool/resource that leaders rated as the most useful were the Leadership Scenarios (7.3/10)
