Initial teacher education resources

Initial teacher education (ITE) programs in Australia are accredited by demonstrating evidence against the nationally agreed Accreditation Standards and Procedures. ITE plays a vital role in shaping the future of education. To support the consistent and high-quality implementation of the Standards and Procedures, we have developed a range of resources. These resources will help ITE providers in their applications, and panellists in making nationally consistent judgements.

Here you’ll find resources to support ITE design, accreditation and continuous improvement. This includes guidance for providers and panellists, along with data publications about the ITE pipeline: created to support workforce planning and inform decisions about the future workforce.
