Induction: A focus on mentoring

Explore AITSL’s series of case studies on induction for beginning teachers. 

Induction at Kadina Memorial School focuses on mentoring. Formal mentor / mentee meetings are used to set goals for improvement. Mentees also observe their mentors’ practice and reflect on what they have seen together. Mentors receive specific training to ensure they can perform their role effectively, including giving feedback.
