Evaluation of Graduate to Proficient: Australian guidelines for teacher induction into the profession

Published in 2016, the Graduate to Proficient: Australian guidelines for teacher induction into the profession support early career teachers as they transition into the classroom, with a view to ensuring teachers are retained for longer and schools develop a culture of continuous learning and improvement for both beginning teachers and mentors.

In May 2020, Synergistiq was commissioned to undertake an evaluation to assess the effectiveness of the Induction initiative in achieving its intended outcomes as of 2020.

Evaluation of Leading for Impact: Australian guidelines for school leadership development

Published in December 2017, Leading for impact: Australian guidelines for school leadership development sets out evidence-based guidance to support a nationally coherent and standards-based approach to leadership development in all jurisdictions and schools.

In 2021 this evaluation was undertaken to understand awareness, uptake and use of Leading for impact among AITSL stakeholders, specifically systems/sectors and school leaders, in the short and medium term.

Evaluation of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers

AITSL collaborated with the Centre for Program Evaluation at Melbourne University and their partner, the Australian College of Educators to assess the usefulness, effectiveness and impact of the Teacher Standards. The evaluation was conducted over three-years, from 2013 to 2015. This report presents the overall findings.
