Evaluating teaching programs


About this Illustration of Practice

The teachers work with students to develop language and literacy skills. Throughout the program they review and reflect on their lessons and the students’ learning.  This evaluation enables the teachers to focus on ways they can improve student learning outcomes.

The school is one of the most remote communities in all of Australia.  It is located in the Aboriginal Lands in outback South Australia and caters for all levels of schooling from Reception to Year 12. Teachers in this example are in their first year of teaching.
