Ms Melanie Saba first commenced as a Director on 1 July 2013 and was reappointed on 2 June 2015.

Melanie is currently the Chief Executive of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators. Melanie commenced in this role in October 2017. Prior to that, she was the CEO of the Victorian Institute of Teaching, the teaching regulator of Victoria. 

Melanie has a history of senior roles in health, including CEO of the Psychologists Registration Board of Victoria, Registrar of the Nurses Board of Victorian and senior management and clinical roles in Queensland and Victoria.

Melanie has recently been appointed to the Board of Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Ltd and has held various board roles in the community and not for profit sectors. She has developed policy at a state and national level and has presented on regulation at both national and international forums. She is active in the work of AITSL through its committees.
