Allan Blagaich is Executive Director, Metropolitan Schools, at the West Australian Department of Education. As a Churchill Fellow in 2008, Mr Blagaich undertook research in the United Kingdom on how education systems can intervene in schools facing challenging circumstances. His research also focused on leadership development programs and principal accreditation regimes in the United States and the UK.

Mr Blagaich gained his Diploma of Education and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Australia. He holds a Diploma in Classical Analysis from the Hochschule fur Kunst and Darstellende in Vienna and a Diploma of Language Studies from the University of Zagreb.
